  1. 1. Wash the raspberries thoroughly and let them drain well.
  2. 2. Set aside a small handful of particularly beautiful berries for decoration.
  3. 3. Place the remaining raspberries in a bowl.
  4. 4. Mix the berries with powdered sugar and gin.
  5. 5. Let the marinated raspberries sit for about 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Soak the gelatin in cold water.
  7. 7. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  8. 8. Heat 150 milliliters of cream in a pot over low heat.
  9. 9. Melt the chocolate pieces in the warm cream.
  10. 10. Squeeze the soaked gelatin well.
  11. 11. Dissolve the gelatin in the chocolate cream mixture.
  12. 12. Remove the pot from the heat and let the cream cool down.
  13. 13. Whip 150 milliliters of cream stiffly in a separate bowl.
  14. 14. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate cream.
  15. 15. Layer the butter cookies in a glass bowl.
  16. 16. Place the marinated raspberries on top of the cookies.
  17. 17. Spread the chocolate cream evenly over the raspberries.
  18. 18. Place the trifle in the refrigerator for about 2 hours to set.
  19. 19. Whip the remaining cream stiffly.
  20. 20. Dollop the whipped cream in portions onto the trifle.
  21. 21. Decorate the trifle with the reserved raspberries.
  22. 22. Serve the chocolate trifle and enjoy!
