🍰 Chocolate Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
- butter 100 g
- chocolate, dark 200 g
- eggs 1 pcs
- baking powder 0.5 tsp
- wheat flour, Type 405 175 g
- cocoa powder 60 g
- brown sugar 150 g
- salt pinch
- ginger, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Use top and bottom heat.
- 2. Melt the butter in a pot over low heat.
- 3. Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
- 4. Let half of the chocolate pieces melt in the melted butter.
- 5. Beat the egg in a separate bowl using a hand mixer.
- 6. Pour the chocolate-butter mixture into the egg.
- 7. Add baking powder, flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt to the egg mixture.
- 8. Peel the ginger.
- 9. Grate the ginger finely.
- 10. Mix the grated ginger into the dough.
- 11. Mix the remaining chocolate pieces into the dough.
- 12. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap.
- 13. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- 14. Cut the dough into finger-width slices.
- 15. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 16. Bake the cookies in the oven for approx. 12 minutes.
- 17. Serve the chocolate ginger cookies hot or cooled.
