🍰 Quick Quark Braid with Strawberry Filling

Ingredients
- Strawberries 500 g
- Mint, fresh 10 g
- Pistachios 4 tbsp
- Organic Lemon 1 pc.
- Braid Bread 1 pc.
- Mascarpone 150 g
- Crème fraîche 150 g
- Quark 40 % fat in dry matter 250 g
- Icing sugar 5 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
- 3. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
- 4. Wash the mint.
- 5. Shake the mint dry.
- 6. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
- 7. Peel the pistachios.
- 8. Chop the pistachios coarsely.
- 9. Wash the lemon under hot water.
- 10. Grate about one teaspoon of lemon zest finely.
- 11. Cut the lemon in half.
- 12. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 13. Slice the braid lengthwise.
- 14. Take a bowl.
- 15. Add mascarpone to the bowl.
- 16. Add crème fraîche to the bowl.
- 17. Add quark to the bowl.
- 18. Add the grated lemon zest to the bowl.
- 19. Add three tablespoons of lemon juice to the bowl.
- 20. Add four tablespoons of powdered sugar to the bowl.
- 21. Mix all ingredients in the bowl together.
- 22. Season the cream to taste with salt and sugar.
- 23. Take a tall container.
- 24. Add half of the strawberries to the container.
- 25. Add one tablespoon of powdered sugar to the strawberries.
- 26. Puree the strawberries finely.
- 27. Spread the cream on the bottom side of the braid.
- 28. Top the braid with the remaining strawberries as desired.
- 29. Top the braid with mint as desired.
- 30. Top the braid with pistachios as desired.
- 31. Top the braid with strawberry sauce as desired.
- 32. Place the top side of the braid on top.
- 33. Chill the quark braid until serving.
