  1. 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly.
  2. 2. Remove the green stems from the strawberries.
  3. 3. Cut the strawberries into quarters.
  4. 4. Wash the mint.
  5. 5. Shake the mint dry.
  6. 6. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
  7. 7. Peel the pistachios.
  8. 8. Chop the pistachios coarsely.
  9. 9. Wash the lemon under hot water.
  10. 10. Grate about one teaspoon of lemon zest finely.
  11. 11. Cut the lemon in half.
  12. 12. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
  13. 13. Slice the braid lengthwise.
  14. 14. Take a bowl.
  15. 15. Add mascarpone to the bowl.
  16. 16. Add crème fraîche to the bowl.
  17. 17. Add quark to the bowl.
  18. 18. Add the grated lemon zest to the bowl.
  19. 19. Add three tablespoons of lemon juice to the bowl.
  20. 20. Add four tablespoons of powdered sugar to the bowl.
  21. 21. Mix all ingredients in the bowl together.
  22. 22. Season the cream to taste with salt and sugar.
  23. 23. Take a tall container.
  24. 24. Add half of the strawberries to the container.
  25. 25. Add one tablespoon of powdered sugar to the strawberries.
  26. 26. Puree the strawberries finely.
  27. 27. Spread the cream on the bottom side of the braid.
  28. 28. Top the braid with the remaining strawberries as desired.
  29. 29. Top the braid with mint as desired.
  30. 30. Top the braid with pistachios as desired.
  31. 31. Top the braid with strawberry sauce as desired.
  32. 32. Place the top side of the braid on top.
  33. 33. Chill the quark braid until serving.
