🍰 Quick Apple Cake with Almonds

Ingredients
- lemon 1 pc.
- apples, red 4 pc.
- butter 250 g
- sugar 200 g
- vanilla sugar 1 packet
- eggs 5 pc.
- wheat flour, type 405 350 g
- baking powder 1 packet
- salt pinch
- milk 200 ml
- almonds, sliced 200 g
- powdered sugar 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 3. Peel the apples and cut them into quarters.
- 4. Remove the core and seeds from the apple quarters.
- 5. Cut the apple quarters into thin slices.
- 6. Fill a bowl with about 500 milliliters of water and some lemon juice.
- 7. Place the apple slices in the lemon water bowl and set aside.
- 8. Put the soft butter into a separate bowl.
- 9. Beat the butter with a hand mixer and whisk until fluffy.
- 10. Add 200 grams of sugar, vanilla sugar, and the eggs to the butter one by one.
- 11. Continue mixing until the mixture is fluffy.
- 12. Add flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt to the batter.
- 13. Stir everything with the milk and the hand mixer until you have a smooth batter.
- 14. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 15. Spread the batter evenly on the baking tray.
- 16. Place the apple slices closely together on the batter.
- 17. Sprinkle the almond slivers over the apple cake.
- 18. Bake the cake for about 25 minutes in the oven.
- 19. Take the apple cake with almonds out of the oven.
- 20. Let the cake cool down.
- 21. Dust powdered sugar over the cooled cake.
- 22. Serve the cake and enjoy!
