  4. 4. Combine flour, a pinch of salt, and baking powder in a second bowl.
  5. 5. Add quark (a type of fresh cheese), milk, and oil to the flour mixture.
  6. 6. Process the ingredients with a hand mixer (using the dough hook attachment) to form a dough.
  7. 7. Take the dough out and knead it briefly by hand into a ball.
  8. 8. Lightly dust your work surface with flour and dust the dough as well.
  9. 9. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle measuring 36 by 24 centimeters.
  10. 10. Spread the cinnamon-butter mixture evenly over the dough.
  11. 11. Leave a border of about 1 centimeter free on both long sides.
  12. 12. Roll the dough up tightly starting from one of the long sides.
  13. 13. Cut the roll into 12 slices, each about 3 centimeters thick.
  14. 14. Line the fryer basket with one of the prepared baking paper pieces.
  15. 15. Place the cinnamon rolls in the basket and press them slightly together.
  16. 16. Bake the rolls at 160 degrees Celsius for 7 minutes.
  17. 17. Carefully remove the basket and turn the rolls out onto the second piece of baking paper.
  18. 18. Peel the bottom baking paper off the rolls.
  19. 19. Turn the rolls over and place them back into the basket.
  20. 20. Finish cooking the rolls at 180 degrees Celsius for another 5 to 7 minutes.
  21. 21. Serve the cinnamon rolls best when they are lukewarm.
  22. 22. Enjoy your meal!
  23. 23. Tip: You can also freeze the rolls. If you thaw them later, warm them up at 160 degrees Celsius for about 2 minutes.
