Ingredients
- Wheat flour, Type 405 380 g
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Baking soda 1 tsp
- Cinnamon 4 tsp
- Salt pinch
- butter 225 g
- Vanilla sugar 2 tsp
- Sugar 250 g
- Eggs 2 pcs
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat.
- 2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 pinch of salt in a bowl.
- 3. Beat butter, vanilla sugar, and 180 grams of sugar with a hand mixer until creamy in a separate bowl.
- 4. Add the eggs one by one to the butter mixture and mix well after each addition.
- 5. Slowly add the flour mixture to the dough and knead everything well.
- 6. Mix 70 grams of sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a small bowl for the topping.
- 7. Form about 36 equal-sized balls from the dough.
- 8. Roll the dough balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- 9. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 10. Gently flatten the balls.
- 11. Put the baking sheets in the oven one after the other for approx. 10 minutes and bake the cookies.
- 12. Carefully remove the snickerdoodles from the oven.
- 13. Let the cookies cool down.
- 14. Serve the snickerdoodles and enjoy them.
