🍝 Quick Spaghetti with Crispy Bacon and Herb Butter

Ingredients

- Bacon Strips 125 g
- Spaghetti 500 g
- Basil, fresh 20 g
- Rosemary, fresh 10 g
- Thyme, fresh 10 g
- Butter 80 g
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
- Parmesan 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Fry the bacon strips in a pan over medium-high heat without extra fat until crispy. This takes about 4 to 5 minutes.
- 2. Remove the cooked bacon from the pan and place it on a plate.
- 3. Leave the pan with the cooking juices and residue (fond) unwashed.
- 4. Bring about 5 liters of salted water to a boil in a large pot.
- 5. Add the spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for about 9 minutes until al dente (firm to the bite).
- 6. Thoroughly wash the basil, rosemary, and thyme and shake them dry.
- 7. Pluck the leaves from the rosemary and thyme and chop them finely.
- 8. Take the basil leaves and tear them roughly with your hands.
- 9. Add the butter and the chopped herbs (except the basil) to the warm pan with the cooking juices.
- 10. Melt the butter over medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes until it turns golden yellow.
- 11. Drain the spaghetti in a colander.
- 12. Add the still dripping wet pasta directly to the pan with the herb butter.
- 13. Toss the pasta well with the butter, bacon, and torn basil.
- 14. Season the pasta to taste with salt and pepper.
- 15. Plate the spaghetti.
- 16. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve the dish.
