🍰 Quick Hazelnut Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
- hazelnut kernels, ground 150 g
- sugar 4 tbsp
- cinnamon 1 tbsp
- vanilla extract 1 tsp
- butter 3 tbsp
- organic lemon 0.5 pc.
- salt pinch
- puff pastry 1 pc.
- powdered sugar 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Toast the ground hazelnuts in a medium pan without fat until golden brown.
- 3. Remove the hazelnuts from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 4. Wipe the empty pan dry.
- 5. Add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, butter, and 100 milliliters of water to the pan.
- 6. Let the mixture simmer for about 3 minutes.
- 7. Wash the lemon thoroughly.
- 8. Grate the lemon zest finely.
- 9. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 10. Add the lemon zest and lemon juice to the pan.
- 11. Season the mixture with a pinch of salt.
- 12. Return the toasted hazelnuts to the pan.
- 13. Stir everything together well.
- 14. Unroll the puff pastry.
- 15. Spread the hazelnut cinnamon mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- 16. Roll the puff pastry tightly starting from the long side.
- 17. Cut the roll into 8 equal pieces.
- 18. Press the rolls in the middle with the handle of a spoon.
- 19. Sprinkle the rolls with powdered sugar.
- 20. Bake the rolls in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
