Ingredients
- sugar 3 tbsp
- eggs 2 pcs
- wheat flour, Type 405 3 tbsp
- Almdudler 125 ml
- baking powder 1 tsp
- apples, red 4 pcs
- ghee 4 tbsp
- cinnamon 0.5 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Whisk sugar and eggs in a bowl until frothy.
- 2. Add flour, Almdudler (a popular Austrian herbal soda), and baking powder to the egg mixture.
- 3. Stir everything together until you have a smooth batter.
- 4. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 5. Slice the apples into rounds about 0.5 cm thick.
- 6. Gently fold the apple slices into the batter.
- 7. Heat ghee (clarified butter) in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 8. Take a spoonful of batter with apple slices and place it in the hot pan.
- 9. Fry the fritters until golden brown on both sides.
- 10. Repeat the process until all the batter is used up.
- 11. Arrange the finished apple fritters on plates.
- 12. Dust them with cinnamon and serve hot.
