🍰 Sangria Cake

Ingredients
- oranges 2 pcs
- butter 250 g
- eggs 4 pcs
- sugar 150 g
- vanilla sugar 2 tsp
- wheat flour, type 405 250 g
- baking powder 2 tsp
- red wine, dry 250 ml
- breadcrumbs 3 tbsp
- cream cheese, plain 100 g
- yogurt, plain 4 tbsp
- powdered sugar 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
- 2. Wash an orange thoroughly.
- 3. Grate about two teaspoons of orange zest.
- 4. Cut the orange in half.
- 5. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
- 6. Beat soft butter in a bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy.
- 7. Add the eggs one by one to the butter.
- 8. Add the sugar and vanilla sugar.
- 9. Mix everything until a creamy consistency forms.
- 10. Add the flour to the bowl.
- 11. Add the baking powder.
- 12. Add one teaspoon of the orange zest.
- 13. Add three tablespoons of orange juice.
- 14. Add the red wine.
- 15. Stir the ingredients in alternation until a smooth batter forms.
- 16. Grease a loaf pan.
- 17. Dust the pan with breadcrumbs.
- 18. Pour the batter into the pan.
- 19. Bake the cake in the oven for about 50 to 60 minutes.
- 20. Remove the cake from the oven.
- 21. Let the cake cool down.
- 22. Peel the remaining orange with a sharp knife.
- 23. Slice the orange into rounds.
- 24. Mix cream cheese and yogurt in a bowl.
- 25. Add powdered sugar.
- 26. Add one teaspoon of orange zest.
- 27. Add two tablespoons of orange juice.
- 28. Taste the cream and adjust if needed.
- 29. Spread the orange cream over the cooled cake.
- 30. Garnish the cake with the orange slices.
