🍽️ Crispy Gouda and Ham Toast with Fresh Salad

Ingredients
- toast bread 8 slices
- Gouda, young block 60 g
- Black Forest ham 4 slices
- butter 4 tbsp
- Iceberg lettuce 400 g
- cherry tomatoes 250 g
- onions, red 1 pc.
- vinegar 1 tbsp
- oil 3 tbsp
- mustard 1 tsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your sandwich grill.
- 2. Spread butter evenly on all the toast slices.
- 3. Slice the Gouda cheese into thin pieces.
- 4. Place half of the toast slices on a work surface.
- 5. Top these slices with ham and the Gouda slices.
- 6. Cover the filled toast slices with the remaining bread slices.
- 7. Grill the sandwiches in the preheated grill for about 3 to 4 minutes until crispy.
- 8. Chop the lettuce finely.
- 9. Wash the lettuce thoroughly.
- 10. Dry the lettuce well so it does not become watery.
- 11. Wash the tomatoes.
- 12. Cut the tomatoes in half.
- 13. Halve the onion.
- 14. Peel the onion.
- 15. Slice the onion into thin rings.
- 16. Put vinegar, oil, and mustard into a bowl.
- 17. Mix the ingredients for the dressing well together.
- 18. Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste.
- 19. Toss the prepared salad with the dressing.
- 20. Place the finished toasts and the salad on a plate.
- 21. Serve the dish immediately.
