  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat.
  2. 2. Boil approx. 0.5 liters of water in a pot or kettle.
  3. 3. Place the flaxseeds in a bowl and pour the boiling water over them.
  4. 4. Season with salt and let it rest for approx. 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Stir the salad seed mix into the flaxseed mixture.
  6. 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  7. 7. Brush the baking paper with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  8. 8. Place the seed cracker mixture onto the tray.
  9. 9. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly.
  10. 10. Dot the surface with another 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  11. 11. Sprinkle everything with salt.
  12. 12. Bake the crackers in the oven for approx. 25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. 13. Reduce the oven temperature to 175 degrees.
  14. 14. Continue baking the crackers for another approx. 15 minutes until they are crunchy.
  15. 15. Let the finished crackers cool down completely on a wire rack.
  16. 16. Break the cooled crackers into pieces.
  17. 17. Serve the crackers together with hummus.
