🥗 Fresh Salad with Lemon Basil Dressing

Ingredients
- basil, fresh 15 g
- organic lemons 1 pc.
- mustard 1 tsp
- agave syrup 2 tsp
- olive oil 5 tbsp
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- onions, red 1 pc.
- mixed leaf salad 1 pc.
- cherry tomatoes mix 500 g
- cucumbers 1 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basil thoroughly and shake it dry.
- 2. Pluck the leaves from the stems and chop them finely.
- 3. Wash the lemon under hot water.
- 4. Grate about one teaspoon of the zest finely.
- 5. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 6. Put mustard, one teaspoon of agave syrup, four tablespoons of olive oil, salt, pepper, the chopped basil, the lemon zest, and three tablespoons of lemon juice into a jar with a screw lid.
- 7. Close the jar and shake it vigorously until everything is mixed.
- 8. Finally, taste the dressing and adjust if needed.
- 9. Cut the onion in half and peel it.
- 10. Cut the onion into thin strips.
- 11. Put the onion strips into a bowl.
- 12. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice and some salt.
- 13. Mix the onions with the lemon juice and salt.
- 14. Separate the lettuce leaves individually.
- 15. Tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- 16. Wash the lettuce pieces thoroughly.
- 17. Let the water drain from the lettuce.
- 18. Wash the tomatoes.
- 19. Wash the cucumber.
- 20. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
- 21. Scoop out the core with a spoon if you wish.
- 22. Slice the cucumber.
- 23. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 24. Place the tomatoes in the hot pan.
- 25. Simmer the tomatoes for about four minutes.
- 26. Pour agave syrup over the tomatoes.
- 27. Let the syrup caramelize briefly.
- 28. Put the lettuce, onions, cucumber slices, and stewed tomatoes into a large bowl.
- 29. Add the lemon basil dressing.
- 30. Mix everything well together.
- 31. Finally, taste the salad and adjust if needed.
