🍰 Rum-Nut Pralines

Ingredients
- Cashew nuts 50 g
- Hazelnuts, whole 100 g
- Marzipan raw mass 300 g
- dark rum 50 ml
- Walnut kernels 5 tbsp
- Coating, dark chocolate 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Roughly chop the cashews and hazelnuts. You can use a knife or a food processor.
- 2. Place the marzipan, chopped nuts, and rum in a bowl.
- 3. Mix the ingredients well and knead them into a uniform mass.
- 4. Place two sheets of baking paper on your work surface.
- 5. Roll out the marzipan mass between the sheets to a thickness of about 1 centimeter.
- 6. Cut equal-sized rectangles of approx. 3 by 2 centimeters from the sheet.
- 7. Fill a pot with approx. 500 milliliters of water and bring it to a boil.
- 8. Roughly chop the chocolate coating.
- 9. Place a bowl with the chocolate coating over the pot, but do not let it touch the water.
- 10. Melt the chocolate coating in a bain-marie until it is liquid.
- 11. Insert the pralines onto toothpicks.
- 12. Dip the pralines into the melted chocolate coating.
- 13. Place the coated pralines on a cooling rack.
- 14. Decorate each praline with half a walnut.
- 15. Let the pralines cool until the chocolate coating is firm.
