🍰 Rudolf with the Red Nose Cookies

Ingredients
- butter 125 g
- sugar 125 g
- salt pinch
- vanilla sugar 20 g
- eggs 2 pcs
- wheat flour, Type 405 330 g
- baking powder 1 tsp
- chocolate, dark 40 g
- sugar pearls 30 g
Instructions
- 1. Mix the soft butter with sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar in a bowl until the mixture is creamy.
- 2. Stir the eggs into the butter-sugar mixture one by one.
- 3. Mix flour and baking powder and knead the mixture briefly into the dough.
- 4. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- 5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 6. Sprinkle some flour on the work surface and roll out the dough in portions to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
- 7. Cut out circles with a diameter of 5 centimeters from the dough using a cookie cutter.
- 8. Place the dough shapes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 9. Bake the cookies for about 15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- 10. Let the cookies cool completely.
- 11. Bring water to a boil in a pot.
- 12. Chop the chocolate finely and place it in a bowl.
- 13. Melt the chocolate over the hot water bath, ensuring the water does not boil.
- 14. Fill the melted chocolate into a freezer bag and seal it.
- 15. Cut off a small corner of the freezer bag.
- 16. Pipe eyes and antlers onto the cooled cookies using the bag.
- 17. Place a red sugar pearl as a nose on each chocolate dot.
- 18. Let the decoration dry and serve the cookies.
