🥤 Fruity Red Wine Punch with Grapes and Oranges

Ingredients
- Oranges 5 pcs
- Brown sugar 50 g
- Honey 30 g
- Cinnamon stick 1 pc
- Water 100 ml
- Grapes, dark 100 g
- Grapes, light 100 g
- Red wine, dry 750 ml
- Sparkling wine, dry 750 ml
Instructions
- 1. Rinse one orange under hot water.
- 2. Peel off two to three thin strips of orange peel using a vegetable peeler.
- 3. Place the orange peels, sugar, honey, a cinnamon stick, and water in a pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for about one to two minutes.
- 5. Let the liquid cool down completely.
- 6. Strain the cooled mixture through a sieve to remove the solid ingredients.
- 7. Thoroughly wash another orange.
- 8. Cut the orange in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 9. Also wash the remaining oranges.
- 10. Remove the peel and the white pith from the oranges using a sharp knife.
- 11. Carefully cut out the orange segments so that the juice is collected in a bowl.
- 12. Rinse the grapes.
- 13. Cut the grapes in half.
- 14. Mix the freshly squeezed orange juice, the cooled syrup, and the red wine in a large bowl.
- 15. Taste the punch and adjust to your liking.
- 16. Add the orange segments and the halved grapes to the liquid.
- 17. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for about one hour.
- 18. Pour the punch into glasses.
- 19. Top off the drink with well-chilled sparkling wine.
