🍽️ Red Beet Burgers with Bean Patties

Ingredients
- Kidney beans 800 g
- Onions, red 1 pc.
- Oats, fine 50 g
- Olive oil 4 tbsp
- Paprika, sweet 0.5 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Beetroot, pre-cooked 100 g
- Oranges 1 pc.
- Sour cream horseradish 1 tsp
- Vine tomatoes 1 pc.
- Mixed leaf salad 50 g
- Ketchup 50 g
- Mayonnaise 50 g
- Mustard 1 tsp
- Crème fraîche 80 g
- Hamburger buns 4 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Place the beans in a sieve and rinse them thoroughly with cold water.
- 2. Let the beans drain well.
- 3. Put the beans in a bowl and mash them roughly with a potato masher.
- 4. Halve the onion and peel it.
- 5. Cut two thin slices from the onion and set them aside.
- 6. Finely dice the rest of the onion.
- 7. Add the diced onion, the oats, and one tablespoon of oil to the beans.
- 8. Season the mixture with paprika powder, salt, and pepper.
- 9. Mix all ingredients well together.
- 10. Form four burger patties from the mixture.
- 11. Place the patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 12. Peel the beetroot.
- 13. Grate the beetroot coarsely into a bowl.
- 14. Peel the orange so that the white inner skin is completely removed.
- 15. Cut out the orange fillets between the membranes and catch the juice in the process.
- 16. Cut the orange fillets into small pieces.
- 17. Add the orange fillets, the horseradish, and one to two tablespoons of the caught juice to the beetroot mixture.
- 18. Finally, adjust the seasoning of the beetroot salad.
- 19. Wash the tomato.
- 20. Cut the tomato into four slices.
- 21. Wash the salad greens.
- 22. Pat the salad dry.
- 23. In a separate bowl, mix ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, and crème fraîche.
- 24. Season the sauce to your taste.
- 25. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 26. Fry the patties on high heat for about three minutes on each side.
- 27. Halve the burger buns.
- 28. Toast the buns briefly in the toaster.
- 29. Spread the burger sauce on both sides of the buns.
- 30. Top the bottom halves of the buns with tomato slices.
- 31. Add the salad on top.
- 32. Place the previously cut onion rings on top.
- 33. Place the fried patties on top.
- 34. Add the beetroot salad on top.
- 35. Place the top halves of the buns on top.
