Ingredients
- apples, red 4 pcs.
- lemons 1 pcs.
- sugar 400 g
- water 4 tbsp
- food coloring, red 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly and dry them.
- 2. Remove the stems by twisting them gently.
- 3. Push the wooden sticks into the center of the apples with slight pressure.
- 4. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 5. Put 400 grams of sugar, 4 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of food coloring into a pot.
- 6. Heat the mixture on low to medium heat.
- 7. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 8. Let the mixture caramelize until the syrup becomes clear.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat immediately once the syrup is clear.
- 10. Dip the apples directly into the hot syrup.
- 11. Rotate the apples until they are completely covered with syrup.
- 12. Let the excess syrup drip off for a moment.
- 13. Place the apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 14. Let the love apples cool down completely.
- 15. Serve the finished treats.
