  1. 1. Cut the onions in half and peel off the skin.
  2. 2. Take the beetroot out of the can and let it drain well.
  3. 3. Grate the onions and the beetroot coarsely into a large bowl using a grater.
  4. 4. Add the flour, salt, and pepper to the vegetable mixture.
  5. 5. Stir everything well until you have a uniform mixture.
  6. 6. Shape the mixture into eight flat patties.
  7. 7. Heat two tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over high heat.
  8. 8. Fry the patties for about two minutes on each side over high heat.
  9. 9. Reduce the heat to low and let the patties cook covered for about five minutes.
