  7. 7. Reduce the heat to medium.
  8. 8. Cook the vegetables until tender for about 25 minutes.
  9. 9. Peel the onions in the meantime.
  10. 10. Slice the onions into thin rings.
  11. 11. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over low heat.
  12. 12. Add the onion rings to the pan.
  13. 13. Add a pinch of sugar.
  14. 14. Cover the pan.
  15. 15. Let the onions melt for 15 to 20 minutes.

  17. 17. Season the onions with sweet mustard and salt.
