  1. 1. Pour the milk into a pot and warm it for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm.
  2. 2. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm milk.
  3. 3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until the yeast and sugar have completely dissolved.
  4. 4. Cover the pot and let the yeast milk rest for about 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Pour the yeast milk into a large bowl.
  6. 6. Add the remaining sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and flour.
  7. 7. Mix all ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
  8. 8. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface and knead the dough there.
  9. 9. Work the raisins into the dough while kneading.
  10. 10. Place the dough in a bowl and cover it.
  11. 11. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
  12. 12. Divide the dough into two equal halves.
  13. 13. Shape each half into a loaf.
  14. 14. Grease a loaf pan.
  15. 15. Place the two loaves side by side in the pan.
  16. 16. Cover the pan and let the loaves rise for about 20 minutes.
  17. 17. Preheat the oven to 200 °C fan (convection).
  18. 18. Brush the surface of the loaves with milk.
  19. 19. Bake the bread in the oven for about 45 minutes.
  20. 20. Cover the bread with aluminum foil after about 15 minutes of baking time to prevent the crust from becoming too dark.
  21. 21. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
