🍰 Classic Raisin Bread

Ingredients
- milk 250 ml
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- sugar 60 g
- butter 125 g
- salt pinch
- eggs 3 pcs
- wheat flour, type 405 500 g
- raisins 100 g
Instructions
- 1. Pour the milk into a pot and warm it for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm.
- 2. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm milk.
- 3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until the yeast and sugar have completely dissolved.
- 4. Cover the pot and let the yeast milk rest for about 10 minutes.
- 5. Pour the yeast milk into a large bowl.
- 6. Add the remaining sugar, butter, salt, eggs, and flour.
- 7. Mix all ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
- 8. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface and knead the dough there.
- 9. Work the raisins into the dough while kneading.
- 10. Place the dough in a bowl and cover it.
- 11. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
- 12. Divide the dough into two equal halves.
- 13. Shape each half into a loaf.
- 14. Grease a loaf pan.
- 15. Place the two loaves side by side in the pan.
- 16. Cover the pan and let the loaves rise for about 20 minutes.
- 17. Preheat the oven to 200 °C fan (convection).
- 18. Brush the surface of the loaves with milk.
- 19. Bake the bread in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- 20. Cover the bread with aluminum foil after about 15 minutes of baking time to prevent the crust from becoming too dark.
- 21. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
