🍽️ Beef Strips with Broccoli in Spicy Pepper Sauce

Ingredients
- Beef minute steaks 400 g
- Garlic cloves 1 pc.
- Pepper, black ground pinch
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Cinnamon 0.25 tsp
- Pepper, mixed 0.5 tsp
- Broccoli 500 g
- Onions, red 1 pc.
- Jasmine rice 300 g
- Salt pinch
- Sesame, white 4 tsp
- Vegetable broth 200 ml
- Cornstarch 1 tbsp
- Cilantro, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the beef steaks under cold water.
- 2. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Cut the beef into strips about 1 cm thick.
- 4. Peel the garlic.
- 5. Finely chop the garlic.
- 6. Place the beef strips in a bowl.
- 7. Add 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 8. Add a pinch of cinnamon.
- 9. Add the chopped garlic.
- 10. Season with pepper.
- 11. Mix everything well together.
- 12. Set the bowl aside to let the meat marinate.
- 13. Wash the broccoli.
- 14. Peel the tough stalk of the broccoli.
- 15. Cut the broccoli florets into small pieces.
- 16. Roughly dice the peeled stalk.
- 17. Halve the onion.
- 18. Peel the onion.
- 19. Slice the onion into strips.
- 20. Place the rice in a pot.
- 21. Add about 700 ml of salted water.
- 22. Bring the water to a boil.
- 23. Reduce the heat to low.
- 24. Cook the rice for about 12 minutes.
- 25. Heat a pan without fat over medium to high heat.
- 26. Add the sesame seeds to the hot pan.
- 27. Toast the sesame seeds for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- 28. Remove the sesame seeds from the pan.
- 29. Place the sesame seeds on a plate.
- 30. Add 2 tablespoons of oil to the same pan.
- 31. Heat the oil over medium to high heat.
- 32. Add the broccoli to the pan.
- 33. Sauté the broccoli for about 4 minutes.
- 34. Add the onion strips.
- 35. Sauté the onions for another 2 minutes.
- 36. Remove the broccoli and onions from the pan.
- 37. Place the vegetables in a bowl.
- 38. Season the vegetables with salt.
- 39. Leave the pan uncleaned.
- 40. Set the heat to high.
- 41. Add the marinated beef strips to the pan.
- 42. Sear the meat for about 3 minutes.
- 43. Add the prepared broccoli and onions back to the pan.
- 44. Deglaze the meat with broth.
- 45. Let the mixture simmer gently for about 3 minutes.
- 46. Place the cornstarch in a small bowl.
- 47. Add a little cold water.
- 48. Stir the starch until it has dissolved.
- 49. Pour the starch solution into the sauce.
- 50. Let the sauce continue to simmer until it thickens.
- 51. Wash the coriander leaves.
- 52. Shake the coriander dry.
- 53. Pluck the leaves from the stem.
- 54. Season the sauce generously with salt.
- 55. Season the sauce generously with pepper.
- 56. Place the rice on the plates.
- 57. Add the beef and broccoli in pepper sauce.
- 58. Garnish the dish with the fresh coriander leaves.
- 59. Garnish the dish with the toasted sesame seeds.
