  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Wash the beef steaks and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
  3. 3. Let the steaks rest at room temperature to warm up slightly.
  4. 4. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.
  5. 5. Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise.
  6. 6. Place the potato halves on a baking sheet.
  7. 7. Add one tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and paprika powder.
  8. 8. Mix everything well so the potatoes are evenly seasoned.
  9. 9. Slide the tray into the preheated oven.
  10. 10. Bake the potatoes until golden brown for about 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. 11. Turn the potatoes over once after half the baking time.
  12. 12. Wash the peppers and cut them into quarters.
  13. 13. Remove the hard stem and seeds from the peppers.
  14. 14. Dice the peppers into coarse pieces.
  15. 15. Cut the onion in half and peel it.
  16. 16. Dice the onion into coarse pieces as well.
  17. 17. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
  18. 18. Add the peppers and onions to the hot oil.
  19. 19. Add a small spoonful of sugar and a pinch of salt.
  20. 20. Cover the pot and let the vegetables cook until soft for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  21. 21. Season the beef steaks generously with salt.
  22. 22. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a frying pan until very hot.
  23. 23. Sear the steaks on all sides for 2 to 3 minutes.
  24. 24. Reduce the heat to low to medium.
  25. 25. Add two tablespoons of butter to the pan.
  26. 26. Finish cooking the steaks for another 3 minutes.
  27. 27. Pour the melted butter from the pan over the steaks repeatedly.
  28. 28. Wrap the finished steaks in aluminum foil.
  29. 29. Let the meat rest for 5 minutes.
  30. 30. Roughly chop the cloves of marinated garlic.
  31. 31. Add the chopped garlic and one tablespoon of butter to the pepper mixture in the pot.
  32. 32. Blend everything finely with a hand blender.
  33. 33. Season the sauce finally with salt, pepper, and paprika powder.
  34. 34. Take the potatoes out of the oven.
  35. 35. Plate the steaks on plates with the Spanish oven potatoes.
  36. 36. Drizzle the dish with the pepper-garlic sauce.
  37. 37. Serve the food hot and enjoy your meal!
