🍽️ Homemade Remoulade Sauce

Ingredients
- Shallots 1 pc.
- Pickles 2 pc.
- Capers 1 tbsp
- Parsley, fresh 10 g
- Chives, fresh 10 g
- Mayonnaise 200 g
- Mustard 2 tsp
- Yogurt, plain 150 g
- Salt pinch
- Pepper, black ground pinch
Instructions
- 1. Halve the shallot and remove the outer skin.
- 2. Finely chop the shallot.
- 3. Place the chopped shallot into a bowl.
- 4. Cover the shallot completely with hot water.
- 5. Let the shallot steep in the water for about 2 minutes.
- 6. Drain the gherkins and capers into a sieve.
- 7. Finely chop the gherkins and capers.
- 8. Drain the soaked shallot into a sieve as well.
- 9. Wash the parsley and chives under running water.
- 10. Shake the herbs dry.
- 11. Remove any thick stems from the parsley and chives if necessary.
- 12. Finely chop the parsley and chives.
- 13. Add mayonnaise, mustard, and yogurt to a clean bowl.
- 14. Mix the three ingredients thoroughly.
- 15. Stir the drained shallot into the mayonnaise mixture.
- 16. Stir in the chopped gherkins and capers.
- 17. Season the remoulade with salt and pepper to taste.
- 18. Serve the finished remoulade with meat or fish dishes.
