  1. 1. Rinse the quinoa grains thoroughly in a sieve with lukewarm water.
  2. 2. Bring water to a boil in a pot with salt.
  3. 3. Add the quinoa and cook it on low heat for about 12 minutes.
  4. 4. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in curry and olive oil.
  5. 5. Let the quinoa swell for another 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Drain the chickpeas and rinse them well in a sieve.
  7. 7. Halve a lemon and squeeze the juice from one half.
  8. 8. Wash and peel the carrots and grate them finely.
  9. 9. Halve and peel the onion and dice it finely.
  10. 10. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
  11. 11. Wash the herbs, dry them, and remove the coarse stems.
  12. 12. Chop the herbs finely.
  13. 13. Roast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat on medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes.
  14. 14. Put the chickpeas, lemon juice, one garlic clove, half of the sesame, and cumin into a tall container.
  15. 15. Puree the ingredients very finely.
  16. 16. If the mixture is too thick, add a little cold water.
  17. 17. Season the hummus with salt, olive oil, and the remaining sesame.
  18. 18. Mix the carrots, onions, quinoa, and egg in a bowl.
  19. 19. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  20. 20. Form patties from the mixture with a diameter of about 4 cm.
  21. 21. Press the patties slightly flat.
  22. 22. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan on medium heat.
  23. 23. Fry the quinoa patties on both sides for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
  24. 24. Serve the patties on plates with hummus.
