🍽️ Crispy Chicken Quesadillas

Ingredients
- chicken breast fillets 600 g
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- organic limes 1 pc.
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- olive oil 2 tbsp
- vine tomatoes 2 pc.
- bell pepper, red 1 pc.
- Gouda, young block 200 g
- tortillas 8 pc.
- cream cheese, plain 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the chicken breast fillets under running water.
- 2. Pat the meat dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
- 4. Rinse the lime with hot water.
- 5. Finely grate the lime zest.
- 6. Squeeze out the lime juice.
- 7. Place the lime zest and juice into a bowl.
- 8. Add the chopped garlic.
- 9. Add 1 level teaspoon of salt.
- 10. Season with some pepper.
- 11. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the bowl.
- 12. Mix all ingredients for the marinade well.
- 13. Place the chicken fillets into the marinade.
- 14. Let the meat marinate.
- 15. Heat the remaining oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 16. Fry the chicken breast fillets for about 15 minutes on all sides.
- 17. Remove the meat from the pan.
- 18. Let the meat cool down briefly.
- 19. Slice the chicken into strips.
- 20. Wash the tomatoes.
- 21. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
- 22. Wash the bell pepper.
- 23. Remove the stem and seeds from the bell pepper.
- 24. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips.
- 25. Remove the rind from the Gouda cheese.
- 26. Grate the Gouda cheese finely.
- 27. Spread cream cheese on four wraps.
- 28. Top the wraps with the chicken strips.
- 29. Place the tomato slices on top.
- 30. Add the bell pepper strips.
- 31. Lightly season the filling with salt and pepper.
- 32. Sprinkle the grated Gouda over it.
- 33. Place the remaining tortillas on top as a lid.
- 34. Press the quesadillas down gently.
- 35. Preheat a pan over medium to high heat.
- 36. Fry the tortillas one by one for about 1 minute on each side.
- 37. Slide the quesadilla onto a plate to flip it.
- 38. Turn the quesadilla over and slide it back into the pan.
- 39. Cut the finished quesadillas into pieces.
- 40. Serve the quesadillas immediately.
