🍰 Quark with Apple Compote and Almond Caramel

Ingredients
- apples, red 2 pcs.
- water 100 ml
- honey 1 tsp
- almonds, sliced 4 tbsp
- sugar 2 tbsp
- quark 40% fat in dry matter 250 g
- yogurt, plain 300 g
- vanilla sugar 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Quarter the apples and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Place the apple pieces in a pot and cover them with water.
- 5. Bring the water to a boil.
- 6. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer the apples for about 5 minutes.
- 7. Season the apple compote to taste with honey.
- 8. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
- 9. Toast the sliced almonds in the pan for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
- 10. Remove the toasted almonds from the pan and place them on a plate.
- 11. Add sugar and 1 tablespoon of water to the same pan.
- 12. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 13. Continue to cook the sugar until it takes on a light brown color and a viscous consistency.
- 14. Stir the toasted almonds into the liquid caramel.
- 15. Pour the almond-caramel mixture onto a sheet of baking paper.
- 16. Allow the caramel to cool completely.
- 17. Break the cooled caramel into coarse pieces.
- 18. Place quark, yogurt, and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
- 19. Mix the ingredients well together.
- 20. Sweeten the quark mixture to taste with additional sugar.
- 21. Layer the apple compote and vanilla quark alternately into glasses.
- 22. Decorate the glasses with the pieces of almond caramel.
- 23. Enjoy the dessert immediately.
