🍽️ Tender Turkey Strips on Fluffy Parsley Rice

Ingredients
- turkey strips 600 g
- onions, red 1 pc.
- zucchini 1 pc.
- mushrooms, brown 250 g
- long-grain rice 300 g
- salt pinch
- oil 4 tbsp
- pepper, black ground pinch
- wheat flour, Type 405 1 tbsp
- heavy cream 200 ml
- vegetable broth 100 ml
- parsley, fresh 30 g
- butter 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the turkey strips under running water.
- 2. Thoroughly dry the meat with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Peel the onion and cut it in half.
- 4. Cut the onion halves into thin strips.
- 5. Wash the zucchini and cut off the ends.
- 6. Slice the zucchini diagonally into thin rounds.
- 7. Cut the zucchini slices into small batons.
- 8. Clean the mushrooms with a cloth if necessary.
- 9. Quarter the mushrooms.
- 10. Put the rice into a pot.
- 11. Pour about 700 milliliters of salted water over it.
- 12. Bring the water and rice to a boil.
- 13. Reduce the heat to low.
- 14. Place the lid on the pot.
- 15. Let the rice cook for about 12 minutes.
- 16. Heat a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 17. Fry the turkey strips in it for about 4 minutes until golden brown.
- 18. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- 19. Remove the meat from the pan and place it on a plate.
- 20. Heat the same pan again with 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 21. Fry the onion strips, zucchini batons, and mushrooms in the cooking fat for about 4 minutes.
- 22. Dust the vegetables with flour.
- 23. Season the vegetables to taste.
- 24. Deglaze the vegetables with cream.
- 25. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes.
- 26. Wait until the sauce is light brown and slightly thickened.
- 27. Pour in the vegetable broth.
- 28. Let the mixture simmer at medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- 29. Add the turkey strips back to the pan in the last 2 minutes.
- 30. Warm the meat through in the sauce.
- 31. Wash the parsley and dry it.
- 32. Pluck the parsley leaves from the stems.
- 33. Finely chop the parsley leaves.
- 34. Stir the parsley and butter into the cooked rice.
- 35. Taste the turkey strips one last time and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 36. Serve the meat together with the parsley rice.
