Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, season the minced meat well with salt and pepper. Form four equal-sized patties with your hands that are about thumb-thick and weigh around 150 g each. Set aside to let them rest.
  2. 2. Wash the apple thoroughly, peel if desired, and grate finely. In a bowl, mix the apple with sour cream and mayonnaise. Finely chop the capers and add them, then season with salt and pepper.
  3. 3. Wash the pumpkin, cut off the ends, halve it, and remove the seeds with a spoon. Cut the pumpkin halves into thin wedges. Halve the onions, peel them, and cut into thick rings. Wash the lettuce, pat dry, and tear into coarse pieces.
  4. 4. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over high heat and sear the pumpkin in it for about 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally. Drizzle with honey and let it caramelize for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
  5. 5. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in another pan on the highest setting and sear the patties for about 2 minutes on each side. Then add the onion rings and continue cooking with the lid closed over low to medium heat for about 6 minutes.
  6. 6. Slice the burger buns in half and toast briefly on the grill or in a toaster. Spread both halves with the apple cream. Layer the bottoms with lettuce, patties, onion rings, and pumpkin. Place the top bun halves on top. Enjoy your meal!
