Ingredients
- minced meat, mixed 600 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- apples, green 1 pc.
- sour cream 150 g
- mayonnaise 100 g
- capers 2 tbsp
- hokkaido pumpkin 200 g
- onions, yellow 1 pc.
- mini romaine 1 pc.
- oil 3 tbsp
- honey 1 tbsp
- hamburger buns 4 pc.
Instructions
- 1. In a bowl, season the minced meat well with salt and pepper. Form four equal-sized patties with your hands that are about thumb-thick and weigh around 150 g each. Set aside to let them rest.
- 2. Wash the apple thoroughly, peel if desired, and grate finely. In a bowl, mix the apple with sour cream and mayonnaise. Finely chop the capers and add them, then season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Wash the pumpkin, cut off the ends, halve it, and remove the seeds with a spoon. Cut the pumpkin halves into thin wedges. Halve the onions, peel them, and cut into thick rings. Wash the lettuce, pat dry, and tear into coarse pieces.
- 4. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over high heat and sear the pumpkin in it for about 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally. Drizzle with honey and let it caramelize for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
- 5. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in another pan on the highest setting and sear the patties for about 2 minutes on each side. Then add the onion rings and continue cooking with the lid closed over low to medium heat for about 6 minutes.
- 6. Slice the burger buns in half and toast briefly on the grill or in a toaster. Spread both halves with the apple cream. Layer the bottoms with lettuce, patties, onion rings, and pumpkin. Place the top bun halves on top. Enjoy your meal!
