🍽️ Pull-Apart Tree with Cheese and Herbs

Ingredients
- yeast, fresh 1 pcs
- water 250 g
- sugar 1 tsp
- wheat flour, Type 405 500 g
- salt 1 tsp
- olive oil 50 g
- butter 70 g
- garlic cloves 1 pcs
- pepper, black ground pinch
- oregano, dried 1 tbsp
- rosemary, dried 1 tbsp
- thyme, stripped 1 tbsp
- mini mozzarella balls 250 g
Instructions
- 1. Mix the yeast with the sugar and the water.
- 2. Add the flour, the salt, and the olive oil.
- 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth.
- 4. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 5. Brush the ball lightly with a little olive oil.
- 6. Let the ball rise covered for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.
- 7. Melt the butter in a pot.
- 8. Press the garlic clove into the melted butter.
- 9. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper.
- 10. Stir the herbs into the butter.
- 11. Set the butter mixture aside.
- 12. Divide the dough into 32 equal portions.
- 13. Shape each portion into a small ball.
- 14. Open each ball slightly with your fingers.
- 15. Place a piece of mini mozzarella into the opening.
- 16. Close the dough around the cheese.
- 17. Reshape the ball firmly.
- 18. Roll the ball in the prepared butter.
- 19. Place the balls in the shape of a fir tree on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 20. Place the tray in the cold oven.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius top and bottom heat.
- 22. Bake the tree for about 35 to 40 minutes until it is golden brown.
- 23. Serve the tree best while still warm.
