🍳 Oatmeal with fried apples and cranberries

Ingredients
- Apples, red 2 pcs
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Wild cranberries 4 tbsp
- Oat flakes, fine 160 g
- Salt pinch
- Milk 800 ml
- Almonds, whole, blanched 4 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the apples thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Quarter the apples and remove the core.
- 3. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
- 4. Melt the butter in a pot over high heat.
- 5. Fry the apple cubes for about 4 minutes.
- 6. Add the sugar and let it caramelize slightly.
- 7. Deglaze the mixture with about 50 milliliters of water.
- 8. Cook the apples for about 5 minutes until they are soft.
- 9. Stir the cranberries into the apple mixture.
- 10. Season the compote to taste.
- 11. Put the oat flakes and a pinch of salt into a clean pot.
- 12. Pour milk over the oat flakes.
- 13. Simmer the porridge over low to medium heat.
- 14. Cook the porridge for about 4 to 6 minutes.
- 15. Wait until the milk has been completely absorbed by the flakes.
- 16. Sweeten the porridge with honey to your liking.
- 17. Preheat a pan to high temperature.
- 18. Roast the almonds for about 2 minutes without fat.
- 19. Fill the porridge into bowls.
- 20. Add the apple-cranberry compote.
- 21. Sprinkle the dish with the roasted almonds.
