  4. 4. Slice the tomato halves into thin slices.

  6. 6. Shake the basil dry.
  7. 7. Gently pluck the leaves off the stems.
  8. 8. Finely chop the nuts.
  9. 9. Roll out the puff pastry flat.
  10. 10. Grab a small bowl to use as a guide.
  11. 11. Use it to cut out round circles from the dough.
  12. 12. Place a tomato slice in the center of a dough circle.
  13. 13. Season the tomato with a pinch of salt.
  14. 14. Add some pepper.
  15. 15. Sprinkle oregano over it.
  16. 16. Slowly fold the dough edges over the tomato.
  17. 17. Gently press down the overlapping corners.
  18. 18. Whisk the egg in a separate bowl.
  19. 19. Brush the dough edges with the whisked egg.
  20. 20. Sprinkle the chopped nuts onto the egg-brushed edges.
  21. 21. Distribute the cheese evenly over the surface of the snacks.
