🍕 Pizza with Balsamic Onions and Arugula

Ingredients
- garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- mozzarella 2 pcs.
- olive oil 4 tbsp.
- honey 1 tsp.
- pizza dough with tomato sauce 2 pcs.
- onions, red 4 pcs.
- sugar 1 tbsp.
- balsamic vinegar, light 4 tbsp.
- salt 1 tbsp.
- pepper, black ground pinch
- arugula 80 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Peel the garlic and dice it into small cubes.
- 3. Pat the mozzarella dry with a kitchen towel.
- 4. Cut the dry mozzarella into cubes as well.
- 5. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- 6. Fry the diced garlic for about one minute.
- 7. Stir the honey into the pan.
- 8. Add the tomato sauce.
- 9. Remove the pot from the heat and set it aside.
- 10. Place the pizza doughs on baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- 11. Roll out the doughs into flat pizzas.
- 12. Coat the dough bases evenly with the prepared tomato sauce.
- 13. Distribute the mozzarella cubes evenly over the pizzas.
- 14. Place the trays in the lower and middle sections of the oven.
- 15. Bake the pizzas for a total of about 15 minutes.
- 16. Swap the positions of the baking trays after about seven minutes.
- 17. Wash the pot thoroughly.
- 18. Peel the onions, but leave the root ends intact.
- 19. Cut the onions into eight wedges.
- 20. Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in the clean pot over medium heat.
- 21. Add the onions and sugar to the pot.
- 22. Fry the onions for about five minutes until they are translucent.
- 23. Deglaze the onions with balsamic vinegar.
- 24. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- 25. Let the onions simmer over low heat for about five minutes.
- 26. Wash the arugula under running water.
- 27. Spin the arugula dry.
- 28. Place the arugula in a bowl.
- 29. Toss the arugula with one tablespoon of olive oil and salt.
- 30. Remove the finished pizzas from the oven.
- 31. Top the pizzas with the balsamic onions.
- 32. Distribute the seasoned arugula over the pizzas.
- 33. Serve the pizzas immediately.
