  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees Celsius using top and bottom heat.
  2. 2. Cut an onion in half and remove the outer skin.
  3. 3. Finely chop the onion into small pieces.
  4. 4. Add two tablespoons of oil to a pot and heat it over medium to high heat.
  5. 5. Add the chopped onion to the hot oil.
  6. 6. Sauté the onions for about two minutes until they become soft and translucent.
  7. 7. Add tomatoes, broth, and tomato paste to the pot.
  8. 8. Season the sauce with salt, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
  9. 9. Let the sauce simmer gently for about five minutes.
  10. 10. Remove the pot from the heat and let the sauce cool down slightly.
  11. 11. Peel a pineapple and remove the hard core from the center.
  12. 12. Cut the pineapple flesh into thin slices.
  13. 13. Finely grate Emmental cheese using a grater.
  14. 14. Halve or quarter the ham slices.
  15. 15. Wash fresh basil leaves under running water.
  16. 16. Gently dry the basil leaves.
  17. 17. Pluck the basil leaves off the stems.
  18. 18. Place the pizza bases on baking sheets lined with baking paper.
  19. 19. Spread the cooled tomato sauce thinly over the pizza bases.
  20. 20. Sprinkle the grated Emmental cheese evenly over the sauce.
  21. 21. Distribute the ham pieces and pineapple slices over the pizzas.
  22. 22. Slide the pizzas into the preheated oven.
  23. 23. Bake the pizzas one after the other for about 15 minutes.
  24. 24. Remove the finished pizzas from the oven.
  25. 25. Garnish the hot pizzas with the fresh basil leaves.
  26. 26. Serve the pizza immediately and enjoy.
