🍳 Pink Grapefruit Jam with Star Anise

Ingredients
- Grapefruit 6 pcs.
- Vanilla pod 1 pcs.
- Jam sugar 500 g
- Star anise 0.25 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the grapefruits under hot water.
- 2. Finely grate about two tablespoons of the peel.
- 3. Carefully peel two grapefruits with a sharp knife.
- 4. Remove the white inner skin completely.
- 5. Cut the fruit pieces out of the membranes with V-shaped cuts.
- 6. Catch the juice that flows out.
- 7. Squeeze the remaining fruit pulp well.
- 8. Halve the remaining grapefruits.
- 9. Squeeze them.
- 10. Ensure you have a total of 700 milliliters of juice.
- 11. Supplement the juice with water if necessary.
- 12. Slice a vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 13. Scrape out the pulp with the tip of a knife.
- 14. Put the grapefruit juice, fruit pieces, and grated peel into a pot.
- 15. Add jam sugar, star anise, the vanilla pulp, and the pod.
- 16. Mix everything well.
- 17. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- 18. Let the jam boil vigorously for about four minutes.
- 19. Remove the vanilla pod and star anise.
- 20. Fill the jam immediately into four jars with a capacity of 250 milliliters each.
- 21. Turn the jars upside down.
- 22. Close them tightly.
- 23. Let the jars cool down.
- 24. Decorate the jars with star anise if you want to give them as gifts.
