  1. 1. In a pot, bring water together with sugar and cardamom to a boil and simmer for about 3 minutes. Let the syrup cool down afterwards.
  2. 2. Halve the limes and 3 grapefruits, squeeze out the juice and mix it with the cooled syrup. Thoroughly wash the lemongrass and cut it into coarse pieces. Add this mixture to the syrup and let it infuse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. 3. Before serving, peel the remaining grapefruit and slice it into thin slices. Wash the basil, pat it dry, and separate the leaves from the stems. Remove the lemongrass from the lemonade.
  4. 4. Distribute the grapefruit slices, basil, and ice cubes evenly among 4 glasses. Then pour the pink grapefruit lemonade into the glasses and top up with cold mineral water. Cheers!
