  1. 1. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel and slice them.
  2. 2. Halve the onion, peel it, and cut it into thin strips.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
  4. 4. Rinse the basil, pat it dry, and pluck the leaves from the stems.
  5. 5. Heat the oil in a skillet over high heat.
  6. 6. Sauté the mushrooms for about 5 minutes.
  7. 7. Add the onions and garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. 8. Deglaze the pan with white wine.
  9. 9. Season the sauce and bring it to a brief boil.
  10. 10. Bring about 5 liters of salted water to a boil in a pot.
  11. 11. Cook the gnocchi in the bubbling water for about 3 minutes, until they float to the surface.
  12. 12. Drain the gnocchi and add them to the skillet with the mushroom sauce.
  13. 13. Mix everything well and plate the dish.
  14. 14. Garnish the dish with fresh basil and grated parmesan.
