  3. 3. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise.
  4. 4. Remove the stems and seeds from the pepper halves.
  5. 5. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  6. 6. Place the pepper halves skin-side up on the tray.
  7. 7. Place the tray on the top rack of the oven.
  8. 8. Roast the peppers for about 15 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the peppers as soon as the skin starts to turn black.
  10. 10. Wash the thyme under running water.
  11. 11. Dry the herbs with a kitchen towel.
  12. 12. Pluck the small thyme leaves off the woody stems.
  13. 13. Finely chop the thyme leaves.
  14. 14. Take a large bowl.
  15. 15. Add the minced meat to the bowl.
  16. 16. Add one egg.
  17. 17. Add breadcrumbs.
  18. 18. Add the chopped thyme leaves.
  19. 19. Season the mixture with salt.
  20. 20. Add other spices to your taste.

  50. 50. Garnish the ball with fresh basil leaves.
