🍳 Homemade Plum Butter

Ingredients
- Plums 1 kg
- Brown sugar 100 g
- Vanilla sugar 1 packet
- Dark rum 4 tbsp
- Cinnamon 0.25 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the plums thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
- 3. Place the plum pieces in a large bowl.
- 4. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar, rum, and cinnamon.
- 5. Mix all ingredients well until evenly distributed.
- 6. Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator overnight.
- 7. Take the plums out of the refrigerator the next day.
- 8. Place the plums together with the marinade into a cooking pot.
- 9. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- 10. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting.
- 11. Let the butter simmer gently for about two hours.
- 12. Fill the hot plum butter into four clean screw-top jars.
- 13. Use jars with a capacity of 250 milliliters each.
- 14. Seal the jars tightly with the lids.
- 15. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids.
- 16. Allow the jars to cool completely in this position.
