  1. 1. Melt 150 grams of butter in a pot over medium to high heat.
  2. 2. Let the butter caramelize for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until it turns brown.
  3. 3. Remove the browned butter from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. 4. Separate the eggs and use the egg whites for another purpose.
  5. 5. Warm milk and whipping cream in another pot over low heat for about 2 minutes.
  6. 6. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla sugar with a whisk until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  7. 7. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  8. 8. Whisk the egg yolks in a bowl.
  9. 9. Stir the slightly cooled cream mixture into the egg yolks.
  10. 10. Pour the egg yolk mixture back into the pot.
  11. 11. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly.
  12. 12. Make sure the egg yolks do not curdle.
  13. 13. Stir the browned butter into the thickened ice cream base.
  14. 14. Strain the mixture through a sieve into a bowl.
  15. 15. Freeze the mixture in a bowl or an ice cream maker for 8 hours.
  16. 16. Stir the ice cream several times during freezing to keep it creamy.
  17. 17. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan.
  18. 18. Fry the plum dumplings in it over medium heat for about 3 minutes until golden brown.
  19. 19. Dust the dumplings with powdered sugar.
  20. 20. Serve the dumplings together with the burnt butter ice cream.
