  2. 2. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits.

  4. 4. Cut the figs into small cubes.
  5. 5. Wash the orange thoroughly with hot water.
  6. 6. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel.
  7. 7. Cut the orange in half.
  8. 8. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
  9. 9. Place the plums, figs, sugar, vanilla sugar, orange juice, and orange peel into a pot.
  10. 10. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  11. 11. Simmer the compote for about five to seven minutes until soft.
  12. 12. Whisk the starch in a small bowl with a little water until dissolved.
  13. 13. Stir the starch mixture into the compote.
  14. 14. Simmer the compote for about one minute until it thickens slightly.
  15. 15. Let the compote cool down.
  16. 16. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  17. 17. Toast the walnuts in the pan for about two minutes without adding fat.
  18. 18. Let the walnuts cool down.
  19. 19. Chop the walnuts coarsely.
  20. 20. Divide the yogurt among several bowls.
  21. 21. Spoon the compote over the yogurt.
  22. 22. Stir the compote gently into the yogurt.
  23. 23. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the dish.
  24. 24. Serve the compote immediately.
