  1. 1. Warm 250 milliliters of milk in a pot for about one minute until it is lukewarm.
  2. 2. Crumble the yeast into the warm milk and stir in one tablespoon of sugar until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. 3. Cover the pot and let the yeast milk rest in a warm place for ten minutes.
  4. 4. Pour the yeast milk into a bowl and add 50 grams of sugar, butter, salt, an egg, and the flour.
  5. 5. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
  6. 6. Cover the dough and let it rise for one hour until it has doubled in size.
  7. 7. Thoroughly wash the plums under running water.
  8. 8. Halve the plums and remove the pits.
  9. 9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  10. 10. Sprinkle some flour on a work surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  11. 11. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  12. 12. Arrange the plums closely next to each other on the dough.
  13. 13. Let the topped cake rise for another ten minutes.
  14. 14. Sprinkle the plums with five tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.
  15. 15. Bake the cake in the oven for about 25 minutes.
  16. 16. Take the cake out of the oven and serve it lukewarm.
