🍽️ Cream Cheese Spiders with Pepper and Walnuts

Ingredients
- cream cheese, plain 400 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground 5 tbsp
- herbs of Provence, dried 1 tsp
- walnut kernels 200 g
- pretzel sticks 16 pcs.
- oil 1 tbsp
- currants, fresh 1 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Put the cream cheese into a bowl.
- 2. Stir the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
- 3. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and Provençal herbs.
- 4. Place the cream cheese mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
- 5. Finely chop the walnuts.
- 6. Mix the chopped walnuts with pepper on a deep plate.
- 7. Halve the pretzel sticks.
- 8. Wash the redcurrants.
- 9. Carefully strip the redcurrants from the stems.
- 10. Rub your hands with a little oil.
- 11. Shape about 8 balls from the chilled cream cheese mixture.
- 12. Roll the cream cheese balls in the nut-pepper mixture.
- 13. Press the balls down slightly.
- 14. Press 2 redcurrants into each ball to form eyes.
- 15. Place the cream cheese balls on a plate.
- 16. Insert 8 halved pretzel sticks into each ball to form legs.
- 17. Keep the spiders in the refrigerator until serving.
