🍽️ Paprika-Kasseler-Gulasch with Potato Noodles

Ingredients
- pepper, red 2 pcs.
- pepper, yellow 1 pcs.
- onions, yellow 1 pcs.
- thyme, fresh 5 g
- kasseler, in one piece 600 g
- oil 5 tbsp
- paprika, sweet 1 tsp
- wheat flour, type 405 1 tbsp
- sugar pinch
- tomato paste 5 tbsp
- vegetable broth 600 ml
- butter 2 tbsp
- knödel 800 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash the bell peppers, quarter them, remove the seeds and dice. Cut the onion in half, peel it, and slice it into thin rings. Wash the thyme, dry it, strip the leaves off and chop finely. Cut the Kasseler into large cubes.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot over high heat and sauté the Kasseler with the bell peppers and onions for about 3 minutes until browned.
- 3. Add the paprika powder, flour, sugar, tomato paste, and thyme, and fill with broth. Bring everything to a boil, then cover and let simmer on low to medium heat for about 15 minutes.
- 4. In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Fry the potato noodles, turning them often, for about 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- 5. Serve the paprika Kasseler goulash with the potato noodles on plates.
