  1. 1. Cut the cold butter into small cubes.
  2. 2. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl.
  3. 3. Add the butter cubes and the egg to the flour mixture.
  4. 4. Knead everything with your hands until you have a smooth dough.
  5. 5. Wrap the dough in cling film.
  6. 6. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  8. 8. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface.
  9. 9. Cut out the cookies using an oval cookie cutter.
  10. 10. Cut a small hole in the center of half of the cookies.
  11. 11. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  12. 12. Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes until golden brown.
  13. 13. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for a short time.
  14. 14. Spread apricot jam on the cookies without holes.
  15. 15. Place the cookies with holes on top and press them down slightly.
  16. 16. Dust the finished cookies with powdered sugar.
