🍰 Classic Spanish Flan

Ingredients
- butter 1 tbsp
- sugar 150 g
- eggs 3 pcs
- milk 200 ml
- condensed milk 200 ml
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Grease four small dessert molds (each approx. 150 milliliters) with some butter.
- 3. Put 100 grams of sugar into a pot and heat it on medium heat.
- 4. Let the sugar caramelize for about two minutes until it turns golden brown.
- 5. Carefully deglaze the caramel with five tablespoons of warm water.
- 6. Stir until the caramel has completely dissolved in the water.
- 7. Pour the caramel liquid evenly into the prepared molds.
- 8. Separate one egg and use only the yolk for the recipe.
- 9. Mix the yolk, two whole eggs, milk, condensed milk, and 50 grams of sugar well together in a bowl.
- 10. Distribute the flan mixture evenly over the caramel in the molds.
- 11. Cover the molds tightly with aluminum foil.
- 12. Fill a large baking dish with hot water until it is about one centimeter high.
- 13. Carefully place the dessert molds into the water bath in the baking dish.
- 14. Bake the flans in the oven for about 40 minutes until they are set.
- 15. Carefully turn out the finished flans from the molds onto plates.
