  1. 1. Rinse the fresh herbs under running water.
  2. 2. Pat the herbs dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. 3. Gently pluck the leaves from the stems.
  4. 4. Place the herbs into the mixing container of your appliance.
  5. 5. Insert the measuring cup and chop the herbs for 8 seconds on speed 6.
  6. 6. Pour the chopped herbs into a separate bowl.
  7. 7. Rinse the mixing container briefly to clean it.
  8. 8. Peel the onion and cut it in half.
  9. 9. Peel the garlic clove.
  10. 10. Place the onion and garlic into the clean mixing container.
  11. 11. Chop both for 5 seconds on speed 5.
  12. 12. Push the ingredients down from the sides using a spatula.
  13. 13. Add the oil.
  14. 14. Remove the measuring cup.
  15. 15. Sauté the mixture for 3 minutes using the sauté function.
  16. 16. Add the lentils to the pot.
  17. 17. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
  18. 18. Add the cumin.
  19. 19. Add the spice mix Ras el Hanout.
  20. 20. Pour in 700 milliliters of hot vegetable broth.
  21. 21. Remove the measuring cup.
  22. 22. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes on speed 1 in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius.
  23. 23. Add the tomatoes to the lentils.
  24. 24. Place the steam cooking attachment on top of the mixing container.
  25. 25. Place the feta cheese into the deep part of the steam cooking attachment.
  26. 26. Close the attachment.
  27. 27. Cook everything for another 5 minutes on speed 1 in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius.
  28. 28. Carefully remove the steam cooking attachment.
  29. 29. Fill four bowls with the lentil stew.
  30. 30. Break the feta into small pieces using a spatula.
  31. 31. Distribute the feta over the stew.
  32. 32. Sprinkle the dish with the previously chopped herbs.
  33. 33. Serve the stew hot.
