🍲 Oriental Lentil Stew

Ingredients
- mint, fresh 0.5 bunch
- coriander, fresh 0.5 bunch
- onions, yellow 100 g
- garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- olive oil 30 ml
- lentils, red 200 g
- salt 1 tsp
- cumin 1 tsp
- Raz el Hanout spice 2 tsp
- vegetable broth 700 ml
- tomatoes, chopped 400 g
- feta 300 g
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the fresh herbs under running water.
- 2. Pat the herbs dry with a kitchen towel.
- 3. Gently pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 4. Place the herbs into the mixing container of your appliance.
- 5. Insert the measuring cup and chop the herbs for 8 seconds on speed 6.
- 6. Pour the chopped herbs into a separate bowl.
- 7. Rinse the mixing container briefly to clean it.
- 8. Peel the onion and cut it in half.
- 9. Peel the garlic clove.
- 10. Place the onion and garlic into the clean mixing container.
- 11. Chop both for 5 seconds on speed 5.
- 12. Push the ingredients down from the sides using a spatula.
- 13. Add the oil.
- 14. Remove the measuring cup.
- 15. Sauté the mixture for 3 minutes using the sauté function.
- 16. Add the lentils to the pot.
- 17. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
- 18. Add the cumin.
- 19. Add the spice mix Ras el Hanout.
- 20. Pour in 700 milliliters of hot vegetable broth.
- 21. Remove the measuring cup.
- 22. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes on speed 1 in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius.
- 23. Add the tomatoes to the lentils.
- 24. Place the steam cooking attachment on top of the mixing container.
- 25. Place the feta cheese into the deep part of the steam cooking attachment.
- 26. Close the attachment.
- 27. Cook everything for another 5 minutes on speed 1 in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius.
- 28. Carefully remove the steam cooking attachment.
- 29. Fill four bowls with the lentil stew.
- 30. Break the feta into small pieces using a spatula.
- 31. Distribute the feta over the stew.
- 32. Sprinkle the dish with the previously chopped herbs.
- 33. Serve the stew hot.
