  1. 1. Wash the oranges thoroughly under hot water and grate about one teaspoon of zest from three of them. Then halve the oranges and squeeze out about 600 ml of juice.
  2. 2. Bring sugar, water, and the grated orange zest to a boil in a pot and simmer for about one minute. Let the syrup cool, then strain it and mix well with the orange juice and whiskey.
  3. 3. Pour the liquid into a shallow dish and let it freeze in the freezer for at least four hours. Stir well with a fork after about one hour and then every 30 minutes to break up the ice crystals.
  4. 4. Serve the orange sorbet with whiskey in portions and garnish with fresh fruits and mint if desired. Enjoy your meal!
