🍰 Fresh Orange Marmalade

Ingredients
- Oranges 15 pcs.
- Jam sugar 500 g
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly rinse the oranges under running water.
- 2. Grate about one teaspoon of fine zest from each orange.
- 3. Peel two oranges completely using a sharp knife.
- 4. Remove the white pith and catch the released juice.
- 5. Release the segments from the peeled oranges by making V-shaped cuts.
- 6. Halve the remaining oranges.
- 7. Squeeze the juice from the halved oranges.
- 8. Place the grated zest, the caught juice, and the segments into a pot.
- 9. Add liquid until you have a total volume of one liter.
- 10. Mix the mixture with jam sugar.
- 11. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring occasionally.
- 12. Let the marmalade simmer gently for about four minutes.
- 13. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
- 14. Take one teaspoon of marmalade and place it on a cold plate.
- 15. Check after one minute if the marmalade has set.
- 16. If it is still liquid, cook it for one to two minutes longer.
- 17. Repeat the setting test until the marmalade is firm.
- 18. Carefully remove the forming foam with a spoon.
- 19. Fill the hot marmalade into clean screw-top jars.
- 20. Seal the jars tightly.
- 21. Place the jars upside down on their lids to let them cool.
