  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 190 degrees Celsius fan-forced.
  2. 2. Bring about 500 milliliters of water to a boil in a pot.
  3. 3. Break the chocolate into small pieces.
  4. 4. Place the chocolate pieces and the butter in a heatproof bowl.
  5. 5. Place the bowl over the pot with the hot water, ensuring it does not touch the bottom.
  6. 6. Let the chocolate and butter melt slowly in the hot steam.
  7. 7. Remove the bowl from the pot and let the chocolate mixture cool down briefly.
  8. 8. Wash the oranges thoroughly under running water.
  9. 9. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel finely.
  10. 10. Add the eggs, powdered sugar, the grated orange peel, and a pinch of salt to a large mixing bowl.
  11. 11. Beat the ingredients with a hand mixer and a whisk until the mixture is light and thickly creamy.
  12. 12. Pour the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg-sugar mixture.
  13. 13. Mix the flour with the baking powder in a small bowl.
  14. 14. Stir the flour mixture into the chocolate batter briefly until just combined.
  15. 15. Line a baking pan of approximately 18 by 25 centimeters with baking paper.
  16. 16. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  17. 17. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 minutes.
  18. 18. Check the brownies: the surface should be firm, but the inside should still remain slightly soft.
  19. 19. Let the brownies cool in the pan for about one hour.
  20. 20. Carefully turn the brownies out onto a wire rack.
  21. 21. Let the brownies cool completely.
  22. 22. Generously dust the cooled brownies with cocoa powder.
  23. 23. Cut the brownies into small cubes.
  24. 24. Serve the brownies and enjoy!
